CAPACITY BUILDING OF CGA
CGA institution has been established through CGA Ordinance 2001. CGA is entrusted with the responsibility for managing businesses related with public sector accounting and reporting to the executive, audit and parliament. Bigger role has been envisaged in PIFRA II through providing within-year management information to CGA for onward delineation to key stakeholders.
Under the new Ordinance of CGA, a very effective and broad role for the CGA has been envisaged. Not only AG offices at Federal and provincial levels have been made his responsibility, the departmentalized accounting entities have also been put under his domain for control and policy directives. This has considerably enhanced the coordination, policy formulation, administration responsibilities of the CGA. Therefore, officers and personnel of CGA need to be properly equipped with requisite training.
